In July of 2012, we launched a new and vastly improved website, msfame.com. Our goal: for this website to become the go-to destination for news about the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum and for information on the Magnolia State’s incredibly rich sports heritage.
It has exceeded expectations. We frequently have thousands of visits on any given day from computers, Ipads and cell phones. People visit not only to read about the museum and the heroes it preserves, but also to read columns and blogs linking the present to the past. After all, as Faulkner told us, “The past is never dead. It’s not even past.”
The Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum exists to tell — and preserve — the stories of Mississippi’s greatest athletes and coaches, who are some of the world’s greatest athletes and coaches. Question: What other state can boast the leading scorer and receiver in NFL history (Jerry Rice), the leading passer in NFL history (Brett Favre), the second leading rusher (Walter Payton) and the patriarch of the first family of football (Archie Manning)?
Answer: Only the Magnolia State
Obviously, we have a splendid story to tell at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum. The goal of msfame.com is to further that cause. Our website will continue to improve and expand. Advertising on our popular site is available by calling 601 982-8264.
So, please, bookmark our site and tell your friends. It will be worth your while. We promise.
