• Inducted into the El Paso Sports Hall of Fame in 1974

Southern Mississippi (1949-1954; 1962-1971)

• The winningest coach at Southern Mississippi with 246 wins and 147 losses

• First coach to select a black basketball player, Wilbert Jordan, at Southern Mississippi

• Inducted into the Southern Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame in 1979

• Authored 2 basketball books
