You can help us extol Mississippi’s splendid sports legacy
We have experienced another rewarding year at your Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum, where the Magnolia State’s sports legends live forever. While similar hall of fame museums across the country have closed doors or reduced hours of operation, the MSHOF thrives.
In 2015, we have inducted six new Hall of Famers and we had a record crowd to see it happen. We have added a new 2,000-square foot storage facility, which helps our operations greatly. We have expanded our museum store. Bill Blackwell has joined our staff at Chief Operations Officer. We have added signage inside and out. A new locker room exhibit puts museum visitors inside Mississippi locker rooms. A new theatre production is nearing completion. We have added signage throughout the museum that adds much to a visitor’s experience.
We have accomplished much, but have so much left to do, including a pressing need to digitize the museum’s priceless audio-visual inventory. Our museum receives no financial assistance for operating expenses from any level of government. We remain open and showcase Mississippi’s inspirational sports history on the money we raise.
We are approaching the end of the year. Some of us are fortunate enough to need tax deductions.
If you are looking for one, consider your Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum. Here’s a promise: We will put your donation, no matter the size, to good use. Your donation is tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
You can help by clicking the “DONATE” button at the top of this webpage. Or you can send a donation to 1152 Lakeland Drive, Jackson, MS 39216. You will receive a letter of acknowledgement from us, including the amount of your donation, along with our tax ID number.
Please consider helping preserve Mississippi’s remarkable sports history.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from your Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame.
