Former World No. 1, David Duval, has joined the Sanderson Farms Championship’s field. The tournament is set for Nov. 3-9 at the Country Club of Jackson.

Duval won 13 PGA TOUR tournaments between 1997 and 2001 and won a major title at The Open Championship in 2001. Along with Duval, last week’s Shriners Hospitals for Children Open champion, Ben Martin, has committed to the Sanderson Farms Championship field. Martin won in Las Vegas by two shots, claiming his first PGA Tour victory in his 56th start.
Other players who have joined the field include former Sanderson Farms Championship champions Cameron Beckman (2001) and Will MacKenzie (2008), Cory Whitsett and Bobby Wyatt who each played on The University of Alabama’s 2013 and 2014 National Championship golf teams, and former Mississippi State University player, Carlos Sainz, Jr.
Recently the Championship announced that Jonathan Randolph, a 2011 University of Mississippi graduate and Brandon, Miss., native, has joined the field. Randolph earned his PGA TOUR card this year with an 18th Place Finish on the Web.com TOUR money list.
Additional commitments include tournament past champions 2014 John Deere Classic Champion Brian Harman, 2013 Valero Texas Open Champion Martin Laird, 2009 US Open Champion Lucas Glover, Jerry Kelly, Charles Howell III and Carl Pettersson.
Padraig Harrington highlights the list of players with Ryder Cup experience making early commitments to the tournament, including former U.S. Ryder Cup Team members J.J. Henry (2006) and Jeff Overton (2010) and 2007 Past Champion Chad Campbell (2004, 2006, 2008).  Campbell has four career victories.
