Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame seeking Museum Coordinator

The Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame & Museum is currently seeking a skilled and qualified candidate to fill the full-time position of Museum Coordinator. This person is typically the first person to directly interact with most of the people who visit and call our museum offices and should be congenial and personable.

The Hall of Fame operates with a small staff so a qualified candidate must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and be a self-starter willing to jump in and lend a hand in any and all day-to-day activities required in the office. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Duties of the Museum Coordinator include working with renters of our facilities and managing payments and contracts. He/she will also be responsible for directing and leading group tours and field trips. This person will also maintain records and renewals of our Museum Membership.

This position offers health insurance after 90 days employment, an IRA with matching funds from the company, and paid time off that is accumulated based on the amount of time worked with the company.

This is a full-time position Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. When we host fundraising events throughout the year, there may be some evening, weekend, or holiday hours with time off offered to compensate for that time.

To apply, please send a resume and optional cover letter to generalinfo@msfame.com
