“This is an exciting hire for Millsaps, and we look forward to working with Josh in the years to come,” said Dr. Robert W.
Pearigen, president of Millsaps. “He brings tremendous energy to this position, in addition to a wealth of experience and an exciting vision for Millsaps athletics.”
Prior to his time at the University of Georgia, Brooks, 34, also worked at the University of Louisiana-Monroe as a graduate assistant coach and director of football operations. Brooks began his career as a student manager at LSU. He will bring all of this experience to a strong athletics program at Millsaps.
“I believe that success is a science,” said Brooks. “If you have the right conditions, success will follow. It’s going to be a new era for Millsaps athletics.”
Brooks earned his B.S. degree in kinesiology at LSU and is completing his masters of education in sport management at the University of Georgia.
