Opening week produced an 8-2 mark — not too bad. So here we go again…
Mississippi State 38, Alcorn State 7: State gets its first W of the season, Alcorn gets some $. All the $$$ stays in the state.
Ole Miss 52, Southeast Missouri 0: No contest. Southeastern Louisiana gained almost 500 yards in a 45-7 victory over SEMO last week.
Nebraska 31, Southern Miss 17: This is assuming USM doesn’t turn it over six times. If that happens, it will be a lot worse.
Alabama State 24, Jackson State 21: SWAC opener for both. JSU needs to reverse last week’s turnover ratio to win.
South Carolina 31, Georgia 30 — Georgia drops to 0-2 against the state of South Carolina.
Miami 23, Florida 20 — Gators are favored, but Miami wins this one.
Tennessee 30, Western Kentucky 24 — Can Bobby Petrino go 2-0 in the SEC? Almost.
LSU 38, UAB 7 — Did I dream that UAB won this game one year?
Michigan 31, Notre Dame 28 — Devin Gardner, Michigan’s young quarterback, will be fun to watch.
Millsaps 24, Mississippi College 23 — The Backyard Brawl.
Falcons 34, Saints 30 —  Saints are 3-point favorites but I just don’t see how they can stop Falcons offense enough.
