Tickets on Sale for the 2024 Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame Induction Weekend

Jackson, MS (March 25, 2024)The Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame is excited to announce that tickets are now on sale for the 2024 Induction Weekend presented by the Gertrude C. Ford Foundation on August 2-3, 2024. Members of the Class of 2024 include: Walter “Red” Barber, Richard Duease, Paul Elias, Eli Manning, Jimmy Smith, Jr., Savantè Stringfellow, Becky Vest, and Jimmy Webb.

“Each year the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame recognizes the notable sports careers of eight deserving individuals,” said Executive Director Bill Blackwell. “This year’s class is one of the most diverse in their achievements and they have represented the state of Mississippi well in their careers. The Induction Weekend is filled with events to celebrate these honorees with their families, friends, and fans.”

The weekend’s events will kick off on Friday, August 2nd with the Drawdown of Champions at the Sheraton Flowood beginning at 6 p.m. The evening will feature an introduction to the Class of 2024, a silent auction, and a $5,000 drawdown. Guests can enjoy food from restaurants across the metro area, as well as an open bar. Tickets are $75 each and include one draw toward the grand cash prize. Additional draws may be purchased for $25 each and you do not have to be present to win.

The Hall of Fame will host a Meet the Inductees autograph session from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 3rd at the Museum. The Class of 2024, as well as previously inducted stars, will be available for a meet-and-greet to take pictures and sign autographs for fans. Tickets are $10 each for all guests ages 5 and older.

On Saturday evening, the Induction Banquet presented by the Gertrude C. Ford Foundation will take place at the Clyde Muse Center in Pearl. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., inductees will be honored with a reception alongside their fans and supporters. At 7:00 p.m., the program and formal induction ceremony will begin. Tickets for this event must be purchased in advance and may sell out.
