Back in 2012 we wanted to make a film tribute in honor of the late Michael Rubenstein.
I wrote the script. And there was only one voice I wanted to do the narration. There was never a doubt. It had to be Bert Case.
I called Bert. He said he would be honored. He did it in one take. And it was perfect.
Bert Case was my friend. He was a great friend to the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum. He was the first guy to interview me when I left the newspaper business to come here. He was a fine reporter. He had an iconic voice. Our sympathies to Mary from the MSHOF.
