Under Denson, USM was eleventh nationally in major college baseball attendance in 1995 & 1996 averaging 2,040 fans per game. Hill said the experience he gained in promotions with the minor league Nashville Sounds prior to taking the USM job was invaluable in increasing attendance. Managed profesional, Independent League Jackson Senators in 2005. His wife, Judy Moon Denson, was a long-time fixture on Mississippi television.
