- Placed on non-football illness list by Dallas on October 2, 1993, and Cowboys opted not to pay him his entire $350,000 salary for the season as well as insurance, pension, and free agent credits, made offer of $100,000 and no credits which he declined—NFL players association filed a grievance on his behalf and he won in arbitration as arbitrator ruled the abdominal issues were related to football and he received his salary and playoff bonuses
